Traditional Process with Modern Designs
Salty Sally Paper products are handmade using a traditional American Printing Equipment letterpress machine. Our custom letterpress stationery includes monogrammed notes, engagement notes, thank you notes, snarky cards, and more! If you have a custom or personalized idea, we can bring it to life and press it for you! Our products are made with Crane’s Lettra 100% cotton paper.
Getting Started
For as long as I can remember, writing thank you notes was an absolute must in my family. When I went to college, I loved going to my mailbox and finding a letter from a friend waiting for me. I still have all of those letters.
I have a counseling background and In 2009, after having triplet boys, I left my job in the mental health field. I went back to work, part time, when my boys were around three. In 2018, I quit my part time job and volunteered a lot at my boys’ school, while I figured out what was next.
I had always loved stationery, pretty paper, office supplies, fun paper clips, etc. (my Mama (maternal grandmother) let me order brightly colored paper clips, small plastic organizer boxes and other fun stuff out of her Lillian Vernon catalog when I was about eight years old). I decided I wanted to pursue making personalized stationery.
I initially purchased a Kelsey Excelsior 3x5 press, which I soon realized was rather small for what I wanted to do. I then found an American Printing Equipment machine that had been cleaned up and looked sparkling new. I have loved creating elegrant and fun stationery ever since!
